STA Pool Lifeguard Award

This course is aimed at persons or staff that are wanting to become a professional pool lifeguard complying with the requirements of paragraphs 140 to 164 of Managing Health and Safety in Swimming pools.

Course Information

Candidates must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older at the time of the examination
  • Be able to swim and healthy
  • Be able to swim 100 metres on their front and back
  • Be able to swim 50 metres in 1 minute
  • Be able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool

Course Administration

Five Days 9am to 5pm

All lifeguard manuals, coursework materials and assessments are provide by G & T Training Services are included in the price of the course. All CPR  manikins, training resources and first aid  equipment are also provided.

Conducted at the site of employment or swimming pool designated by G & T Training Services.
Date and times to suit venues.

Maximum of 12 persons.
